csf in the press: two kc star features highlight csf’s support for artists and arts ecosystem

Charlotte Street Foundation’s support for individual artists and its impact on the local arts community was spotlighted in late 2008 with two front-page arts section features in the Kansas City Star.  On November 30, Steve Paul reported on a long weekend of back-to-back CSF-related events in his article, “Culture Thrives on the Street Where Art Lives,” writing “hooray for Charlotte Street for funding an art party and an urban ecosystem that pushes the boundaries all the way to outer space.” Read the full article.

Two weeks later, Alice Thorson gave high praise to the 2008 Charlotte Street Awards exhibition at the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, drawing the conclusion that “the money is significant, but you can’t put a price on the program’s exposure and validation – for the artists and for Kansas City.” Read the full article.
