On Friday December 13, beginning at 5pm, Charlotte Street Foundation hosts a Studio Residency Program HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE, providing the public a first chance to visit the studios of Charlotte Street’s 2013-14 studio residents. The Open House will feature open studios by two-dozen visual artists, 4 writers, and live music, dance, and theatrical performances throughout the evening by performing artists-in residence.  All are invited to come meet the artists, view works in progress, and purchase artworks for sale directly from the artists. (Note: a larger, 2-day Open Studios event will follow April 25-26, 2014.)

The evening will culminate at Paragraph Gallery with live performances by Kansas City-based dancer Leonard Gayden and Chicago-based performance collaborative HONEY POT PERFORMANCE, at 9pm. Honey Pot Performance will present Price Pointa 90-minute multi-arts performance project exploring notions of fairness and balance, or the lack thereof, in today’s economic landscape through a mixture of the tragic and comic. Their performance has been organized in conjunction with the exhibition We’ll Make Out Better Than Okay.
