Charlotte Street Foundation welcomes Beth Maggard, former grants manager for Chicago Public Media, as the new CSF development and communications manager. Her role will be to continue the growth and development of Charlotte Street’s diverse portfolio of contributors including those from foundations, corporations, government and individuals.

Maggard has worked for the past four years for Chicago Public Media, home to WBEZ 91.5FM and public radio flagship shows like This American Life and Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me! She earned a Master of Arts in Writing from DePaul University in 2009, and used her communication skills to contribute to a $5 million corporate sponsorships team before managing a grants portfolio of more than $1.6 million. She returns to her hometown of Kansas City with more than five years of experience in nonprofit work.

Maggard comments, “I look forward to working alongside Kansas City’s most innovative artists and nonprofit minds, and I’m excited for the opportunity to bring my experiences to development and communication at Charlotte Street.” Adds Executive Director Julie Gordon Dalgleish, “After a very robust search, we were impressed with Beth’s credentials, work history, and enthusiasm. We are pleased to have her with us at a very exciting time.”
